Terms of Business

Payment Terms


Payment will be requested within 14 days of the date of the invoice, unless otherwise stated. If any bill is not paid within the stated payment terms, WT Design Ltd reserve the right to charge interest on any outstanding balance at 4% over the current base rate of our bankers, Natwest.

Third party advisor fees / local authority fees will be the responsibility of the client unless otherwise agreed. Third party advisors can only be appointed on written instruction from the client.



Information Exchange


Work completed by WT Design Ltd shall be provided in PDF format only until settlement of the invoice. Following payment, original files can be released in the default format of the programme used, via a drop box link or we transfer due to file sizes. WT Design Ltd reserve the right to retain any documents created on specialist software, particular to our business.



Copyright and Confidentiality


The documents supplied as part of the project brief are for the use by the Client, as named in section 1, to use solely for the purposes of the project brief. All intellectual rights and copyright remains the sole property of WT Design Ltd.



Liability and Responsibility


WT Design Ltd are guided by suitably qualified Third Parties, however take no responsibility or liability for the accuracy or specification of any structural, highways, drainage or thermal performance elements (i.e. lintels, foundations, foul and surface water drainage, highways design, U-value’s and SAP Calculations) of the project. 



Termination


If you wish to terminate your instructions to us, you must do so in writing. Work completed will follow our usual Terms of Business. WT Design Ltd may suspend work or terminate the service where there is good reason to do so, for example, if accounts are outstanding without prior written agreement or requests for payments on account are not met.



File Storage


After completion, WT Design Ltd shall retain all files relating to the project for time scales stated within Government data policies at the time of acceptance of these Terms of Business.



Project Feature Request


Please note your project maybe subject to a feature on our website either in pictorial or editoral format, if you prefer to not have your project featured please inform us by writing and we ensure it is not published via this medium.



GDPR - Rights to accessing your Data


We respect to your privacy and compliance in regards to your personal information with ‘GDPR’ meaning the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679. The GDPR regulations gives you the right to access information held about you. If you wish to find out the personal information we hold about you an make a “data subject access request” under GDPR. If we do hold information we will: tell you why we are holding it, tell you who it could be disclosed to; give you a description of it; and give you a full copy of the information held. ‘Data Protection Laws’ means any applicable law relating to the processing of Personal Data, including, but not limited to the Directive 95/46/EC (Data Protection Directive) We will not disclose your personal information to any other party other than in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
